Welcome to #FlashReviews! A short and sweet blog post for my thoughts on recently watched movies and shows.
The Bear (Season 1)

A fast-paced series like this took me off guard at first. I guess you’d have to be in a certain mood to best enjoy this because there were a lot of fighting, running around, deadlines and shouting. Lots and lots of shouting. Put that aside, and you have a story of dealing with grief, adjusting to new people, the troubles of sharing authority and forgiveness. These were portrayed and performed very well which made it worth the watch.
(If you prefer a similar plot but a friendlier version, I recommend Replacing Chef Chiko. This was good, too).
Modern Family

Despite having 11 seasons of this feel-good and humorous TV series, it would still make you crave for more.
Over time, you get to understand that while each character had their strengths and likeable features, none were perfect and their annoying traits and flaws were also highlighted in the series- just like how it is in real life. While very different from each other, all of them possessed love for their family and that’s what they showed and fought for in the entire series.
The Batman Trilogy by Christopher Nolan

Ever since I was a kid, I have always heard that this is a great, if not the best, Batman trilogy. Finally, I can see why.
You wouldn’t want to miss a single scene in this trilogy. Not only was it fundamental to the story, but the dialogues were well-written and well-delivered by the cast. It had a great pacing with the music scores (especially in The Dark Knight) fitting perfectly in each scene. It had the balance of action, drama, romance and tackling of socially relevant issues.
Also, when has Christian Bale ever failed an assignment?
